Surf Life Saving South Australia
Surf Life Saving South Australia (SLSSA) brings together over 9,000 members across 23 clubs, who volunteer more than 80,000 hours each year to protect locals and visitors along the state’s coastline. From Whyalla to Beachport, lifesavers patrol every weekend and public holiday between October and April.
But SLSSA is more than red and yellow flags on the beach. It delivers surf sports, vital training and water safety education across metro, regional and rural communities, while providing a place of belonging and connection. By taking a holistic approach to safety and community, SLSSA is building stronger, more inclusive communities and safer beaches and waterways for everyone.

Royal Life Saving South Australia
Royal Life Saving South Australia has proudly worked for over 115 years, harnessing community strengths to reduce drowning and inspire everyday lifesavers. As a dynamic, not-for-profit organisation, they lead in advocacy, education, training, health promotion, and aquatic risk management.
